The drive was not as uneventful as the last. Through southern Connecticut and into New York there were several guys who drove as if they got extra points for how many other drivers they took out on their way down the highway. I would like to triumphantly report that every one of them, according to bumper stickers and / or hats worn, was a Yankees fan.
Anyways, I got this from Sheila just now; normally this isn't necessarily the kind of thing I'd find time to post while visiting but I was outraged--OUTRAGED! at the omissions.
It's a meme making the rounds that lists the albums you should have heard before you die. You are to put the ones you have heard in bold and suggest three more. I could suggest a LOT more than three, but I'll attempt to rein in my outrage and follow directions.

Okay. So we're going to mention some friggin thing by "The Jam" and we're NOT going to mention Metallica's Black Album? Nine Inch Nails' The Downward Spiral? Are you kidding me with not mentioning Smashing Pumpkins' Gwish? Blues Traveler's Four? Tori Amos' Little Earthquakes, if not also Under the Pink and Boys for Pele? Marilyn Manson's Portrait of an American Family? Johnny Cash, Live at Fulsom Prison? Nirvana Unplugged in New York? Ani Difranco's Living in Clip?
Okay. I was not able to keep to three, and I could go on. But Jesus Christ. You people have NO TASTE!
Anyway, it's about 3:30 pm, so it's probably time for us to get going. Three-thirty was early, though, for a Saturday back in the Umass days.
Man, I miss Heather.
